Free Arts Education

Free Arts is a non-profit organization based in Phoenix, Arizona, that provides art therapy and art education to abused, neglected, and unhoused youth. I began collaborating with them in 2020, when I taught two of their alumni to paint murals and completed a 40×20′ piece at their headquarters. Since then, I have led two urban art workshops at their hip-hop camps, taught a story-writing class at a Glendale group home, served as a camp counselor for stage production at the Herberger Theatre Camp, and given speeches at Free Arts leadership camps about my mural practice.

Because of my experience as an educator in this space, I have gained training and practice in trauma-informed care. I pride myself on my ability to teach to a wide range of audiences with unique needs for success.
