Greer, AZ

  • Residency: Environmental Accelerator with the AZ Community Foundation
  • Duration: 4 days
  • Thesis: Community mural with the Cocopah Native American Tribe

In September of 2025, I joined a cohort of educators from ASU and the U of A, researchers from the Arizona borderlands, community representatives from Native American tribes, environmental lobbyists from Washington DC, and administrators from the Arizona Community Foundation. We met at a large cabin in Greer, Arizona, to discuss strategies to fund and raise awareness of environmental initiatives in our state. My mission as a resident artist was to assist these programs by creating impactful public art. As a result, I coordinated a community painting event with the Cocopah Tribe to bring residents of Yuma together and create a large painting that promotes eco-mindedness.
